Dear Mill Creek Members and Guests,

Effective Saturday, May 9th Phase 1 of Re-opening

With the latest update from Governor Roy Cooper in regards to the Covid-19 virus phases of re-opening. It is our duty to follow the instructions of our leaders to continue to keep everyone safe. We are adapting continuously to new and safer operating procedures to protect you and all staff members. Your continued patience and understanding to follow the Federal, State, NCHHS and any additional guidelines set by Mill Creek Golf Club is appreciated in our ability to continue to operate and keep everyone safe!

We should certainly continue practicing the “Social Distancing” policies the NCHHS recommends. We are recommending that each player limit the amount time spent on a cart together to less than 10 minutes at any given time. After completion of your round please return the cart a quickly as possible. Sharing of a cart is optional. Please remove all trash and debris as this will help in getting the cart sanitized and in protecting our staff.

Groups gathering after or before rounds. “Social Distancing” is still recommended for our members or guest and please limit groups to 10 or less and please continue practicing proper distancing.

Tee Time intervals. Saturday, May 9th we will be having 5 tee times per hour.

Online booking Options. We are still limiting golf-shop traffic and online booking is available for public play. You can book your tee time and pay for your round on the Mill Creek website. Go to and click on the “Book Tee Times” tab and click on the “Public” tab. We have dropped our rates during this unsettling time to $34.00 Monday through Friday and $54.00 on Saturday and Sunday. All members paying for cart fees, merchandise, and F&B items will be applied to their account thus limiting contact.

Limited Clubhouse Access. The front door will remain open for members and guests to use the restroom. If you need an item from the golf shop, we will have a staff member assist you. We will not have demo clubs available until phase three is implemented. Payne’s Place Grill is open and you can call ahead to place a to-go order for a menu item. Consumption of food and beverage items must be on the course and not in or around the clubhouse during Phase-1. We will gladly bring the order out to you or you can enter the back of the Clubhouse to pick up the to-go order. (919) 563-4653 ext. 2

Curtailed bag handling. Unfortunately, we will not be able to handle your bags. Carts have been regularly disinfected and keys, scorecards, and pencils will already be in place in the cart.

Practice range. Range tokens will be available for purchase in the golf shop. They are kept in a sanitized container.

No sand bottles or coolers will be on carts.

Flagsticks in. Players are asked to leave the flag in and avoid contact with the flag. We have put in place a sleeve around the flagstick that will allow your ball to go in the hole near the top of the cup for easy removal. We are also recommending that you play a “gimmie” or putts that are considered inside the “leather” are good.

No rakes. We have removed all rakes from the course. Our recommendation would be to take one club length and smooth area once you are done. Also, we recommend not picking up tees left behind by other players.

No ball washers or water coolers. For everyone’s protection and safety we have removed all ball washing stations and water coolers from the golf course.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call us in the Golf Shop or email me at . We are truly appreciative of all the support of our members and guest during this time! We want wish you and your family’s the best and are looking forward to getting the entire world healthy. Please stay safe!

Sincerely & Respectively,
